R&B
Smooth singing over slow, sexy beats. Hip-hop's softer side.
- Tempo, BPM
- 60–100
- Where it started
- The US; today's sound since the 1990s
What it sounds like
Rhythm and blues: soulful singing over hip-hop-style beats, smooth and slow. Club R&B speeds it up a little, with the throwbacks from the 2000s everyone knows.
